Easy Hand Stamped Gift Wrap

For this project we were excited to partner with our friend & designer Laura Kelly and home goods retailer World Market for supplies.
Materials needed:
  • Kraft wrapping paper
  • Kraft tags
  • Twine
  • Washi tape
  • Personalized Expressionery self-inking stamp

  • 1. Find The Perfect Gift
Whether you’ve had family move, celebrated a friends wedding or want to give a gift ‘just because’, a self-inking stamp makes a wonderful present. For this project the adorable Puppy Custom Stamp designed by Laura Kelly was used to wrap a gift for a dog-loving friend.

    2. Gather Wrapping Materials
Now that you’ve got the ultimate personalized present, it’s time to wrap it up in the packaging it so deserves. Kraft paper absorbs ink well and works great as gift wrap. Find some at your local craft supplier or World Market. Finish the gift wrap with some matching kraft paper tags and twine, also available at World Market.

    3. Time To Wrap!
Expressionery stamps come neatly packaged in muslin bags filled with crinkle paper, making them easy to gift as-is. But,to take it one step further for that halfway-handmade look you’ll want to add a personal touch the packaging.
First, cut the kraft wrapping paper to the appropriate size to cover your gift. Then, the fun begins! Take out the Laura Kelly Gift Box Stamp and personalize the wrapping paper by stamping it in neat squares until the entire sheet of kraft paper is covered. Wait for the ink to dry and you’re all set to wrap!

Finally, finish the gift packaging by wrapping pieces of twin around the package and tying it in a bow. Then add a bit of washi tape to the kraft paper tags and then stamped it with the custom stamp

Voila! A thoughtful custom gift in perfectly personalized packaging.
